Cummins is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and safe workplace—free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and disrespect. Cummins has a “zero tolerance” approach to inappropriate conduct. The company’s expectations regarding behavior are often higher than minimum standards established by law. This means conduct that does not violate the law may still be deemed to violate company policy.
Inappropriate conduct includes behavior that creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment, such as obscene gestures or comments, stereotyping or name-calling, hurtful jokes or stories, offensive images or cartoons, racial or perceived racial language, bullying, and misuse of internal social media.
Cummins considers the reasonable perception of anyone who experiences or witnesses conduct when evaluating whether this policy has been violated. This policy applies globally to all employees, non-employees, and other individuals over whom Cummins exercises management responsibility, while working on or visiting Cummins-managed facilities or worksites and/or interacting with others in the workplace.
