Why Cummins is moving to Ivalua

As our business continues to grow and evolve, so do the expectations around speed, transparency, data quality, and collaboration. Our current sourcing tools are fragmented and heavily manual, which limits visibility and creates unnecessary complexity for both Cummins and our suppliers.

Ivalua has been selected as Cummins’ strategic Source-to-Contract platform to bring sourcing activities into one consistent, modern system. This transition will enable us to:

  • Standardize and simplify sourcing processes globally
  • Improve data accuracy, visibility, and auditability
  • Reduce manual work and offline communication
  • Enable faster, more informed, and more transparent sourcing decisions
  • Build a strong digital foundation for future innovation, including advanced analytics and AI-enabled capabilities

What this means for our Direct Materials suppliers

We know your time is valuable, and any new system must clearly add value. Ivalua has been designed with supplier experience front and center, and we expect this change to make it easier and more efficient for you to work with Cummins.

  • A single, consistent way to participate in RFQs and sourcing events
  • Improved visibility of event status, deadlines, and communications through a centralized dashboard
  • Reduced back-and-forth thanks to structured RFx formats and clearer requirements
  • Greater transparency in evaluation and award decisions
  • Self-service capabilities to manage sourcing contacts, profiles, and documentation more easily
  • The ability to download, complete, and re-upload pricing templates, with built-in validation to reduce errors

Please note: Beginning with the Go‑Live on April 27, 2026, all Direct Materials suppliers will be required to submit their quotations exclusively through the Ivalua platform. This will ensure data consistency, process alignment, and full visibility throughout each sourcing event.

Our goal is to create a sourcing process that is clearer, faster, and more collaborative, supporting long-term partnerships built on trust and efficiency.

What’s coming next

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with selected suppliers started on week March 23rd 2026. This phase allows us to validate the system using real sourcing events and gather feedback to further refine the supplier’s experience.
  • Go-Live is scheduled for 27 April 2026, after which Ivalua will become Cummins’ primary platform for sourcing activities.

We will be sharing more details soon, including guidance, training materials, and support resources to ensure a smooth transition.
